[REQUEST] Lenovo x121e (Intel, 8QETxxWW) Whitelist Removal

Good evening.

First of all, a huge thank you for all your efforts and time spent helping others. I am sure it is appreciated but not quite stated enough so thank you again .

I am trying to add a F5521gw, unknown VendorID, ProductID to a X121e with Intel i3 so only BIOS starting with 8Q.

As it is already updated to 1.19 and I am not sure if it can be downgraded safely, could anyone of the local knowledgeable masters (camiloml or sovem ) please check this?

Also, does anyone know the filename for bios recovery using wincrisis for these newer Phoenix bios or if wincrisis can even be used for these BIOSes?

Hi sovem,

I have downloaded the modded version from your link and flashed the original. Now when I try to flash the modified version, I get the error that I am already running the same version and the modified one does not flash. I have done it before with the prior version, but just can't remember what I did. A little help would be great. Is the linked version including a slic, as I have lost my slic when flashing the original (had a version with slic2.1 added before that.

Update: It flashed ok, but it only seems to be a whitelist bios as my Windows 7 oem installation now is not activated.

Could someone please modify this whitelisted bios with slic2.1 included. This would be very much appreciated.

Update: Not required anymore, thanks. Went back to previous version and since then someone on another forum provided the new version.

I would like to use flashrom from within Linux Debian Jessie to upgrade to a Non Whitelist Bios so that I can use my Ericsson F5521gw WWAN PCIe-Mini Card.

Has anyone done something like this or has any advice?
