And as for tonma, what kind of options are there once it's unlocked? lol
He is talking about this :
Intel Haswell VGA Bios v2178 (cloned settings with Intel Binary Modification Program 2.67e)
Intel Haswell GopDriver v5.0.1036
Intel 06C3 Microcode v17.
Update Intel Sata and Raid, but it takes some time.
I'll have located the rom modules to REPLACE so to mod a bios will be fast, just make the same changes into any other backup.
Smart guy
Hey judeh101 (as Beatles sang), You have done backup right, but the test more important where is result file ?

hahaha "hey jude, don't make it bad, take a sad song, and make it better" anyways, back onto the topic! I used the Universal bios backup tool (opened in admin mode), and this is what it gives me "Can not identify the BIOS!". as for the new backup fpt tool, even ran as admin, still refuses to backup the bios. It should technically show up on my desktop but it doesn't even show up.

http://rghost.net/52673110 Ok, BDMaster, I figured it out! I wondered how the other guy used the Universal backup tool and I have figured it out! I had to select "custom" then select the 4096K because the original bios file from acer is 4096K.

Yes You are right but my problem is not to backup as You have done, but understand as Tonma used FPT to rewite, as if your laptop has eeprom write mem lock as him not ?
We cannot write bios back if there is a lock ! what is the difference between your and him bios ?
This is what have to mean.
Ok unpuck b they 7vZip tool I sended to You "TESTBACK.exe" You will find a folder into "9.5.14.1724" copy it to desktop and rename as FPT and open it !
Then open a CLI command prompt as Administrator rights and look o this new window c:\users\yourname\
Now You have to run this command to set new path :
c:\\users\yourname\ cd desktop\FPT enter
You are in that directory so can run FPT from there.
You have two FPT 1st is w = 32bit 2nd w64 = 64bit !
command to run are FPTw -d biosbackup.bin enter (for all eeprom)
command to run are FPTw -d biosbackup.bin -bios enter (for region bios eeprom)
If You get an error try the same commands as 64bt
command to run are FPTw64 -d biosbackup.bin enter (for all eeprom)
command to run are FPTw64 -d biosbackup.bin -bios enter (for region bios eprom)
And look if can get this backups, they will be in FPT folder, then upload them to me !
If all will go out well We try to rewrite back your bios modded !

regards Nope, 8.1 doesn't work at all. Error message is: "Error 201: [FPTw64.exe] cannot be run on the current platform. Please contact your vendor."

Yes or no
To only Brokovara !!!!
Your biosbackup modded here You have to copy it in FPT folder :
http://rghost.net/52677518
Now to flash from Windows (CLI Administrator rights) or Dos is the same :
FPTw -f biosbackup.bin -bios
From Dos i safest, but many guys run it from Windows.
Let me know
