HP DV6 2173 CL WIFI whitelist removal request
#1
I have an hp dv6 2173 cl with a dead wifi card. Trying to put in an intel 5300 yields error 104. I tried the bios in other forums (sp48953) , but I think it only unlocks ACHI.
Could someone remove the wifi check?
Thanks

The bios is here http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp48501-49000/sp48953.exe

Thanks, that flashed well, and boots.
However when I installed the Intel Wifi Card it hangs, no 104 error, but no post...
I unplugged and removed battery, then tried again. Still no boot.
Put junk N1000 wifi card back in and it boots fine.
So no damage done, but whitelist still in effect.
Thanks!

Yup, that did the trick. Intel 5300 wifi card installed and working correctly.
Thanks so much!
