Hi Hapi-San,

Could you please explain to me how you flash your bios .. ?
What settings did you use in the bios ... UEFI, Legacy ? My Pc do not boot on the USB key when in UEFI mode but will in Legacy mode...

Thanks,Smile

Hey guys, I've got this laptop and recently updated to Win 8.1, unfortunately my usb headset stopped working due to the intel XHCI usb3 drivers. I think there should be a way to disable the usb3 controller in the Advanced tab of the menu, which is locked for me, I'm using the default Acer 1,13 BIOS.

Can you help me unlock my BIOS?

I have read the whole thread and as far as I understood, you have to unlock the BIOS using a BIOS dump from the intel FPT exe and every dump is different. Or can I just use some of the files that worked for the other users.

And the second question is how to create a USB recovery flash drive, just in case the bios gets bricked.

I would be thankful for any assistance!

Ok friend,
All right You are right It's so Intel FPT createa bios backup and i mod this the reflash by FPT again, this is differen for any user as It contain UUID, Serial machine, serial Win7/8, etc. so any user have to get own !
To use Recovery Procedure look here :

http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads...er-TM4730G!

But You have to know something about Capsulated Bios Insyde SecureFlash protection.
You can use a bios file to Recovery Mode only if It is Decapsulated (or not RSA signed in brief) so You have to distingue between bioses.
Look this Dirty Guide mine :

I will continue here to reply all users !

If You used this Bios look the password is (maybe password will be prompted for BIOS use: "dalee") :

http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks-lapt...build.html

BIOS revision: 1.13 (no need to flash modded after DSDT/SSDT patches all working)

Attached modded BIOS with UNLOCKED Power and Advanced functions (to turn off Nvidia, VT-d/VT-x and Virtualization tech.)
flash bios only from windows (I have flashed from W7 x64 - search forums)
(maybe password will be prompted for BIOS use: "dalee")

Ok friends,

for all users You have to use this procedure :

1. using FPT 9.5 to do a biosbackup.bin (FPT -d biosbackup.bin -bios)
2. Upload it here and send a PM to alert
3. Wait reply with modded bios
4. using FPT 9.5 to reflash manualy as shown below.

Ok here is folder with FPT tool and biosbackup.bin Modded so download, unpack, rename as FPT to semplify and use comand directly by a Prompt Comand with Administrator rights.

As Brokowara here :

"Now to flash from Windows (CLI Administrator rights) or Dos is the same :

You have two FPT 1st is w = 32bit 2nd w64 = 64bit It depends from your Windows

FPTw -f biosbackup.bin -bios

FPTw64 -f biosbackup.bin -bios
"

@ Jayseesyou

Here your bios modded with FPT 9.5 follow the explaination above :
