Both works with B113-E HM70, which has factory 1.xx branch, sata still works good.
Not works with V5-171, which has factory 2.xx branch, three beeps.

Is it needed directly reflash chips with programmer in 2.xx laptop?

All plays with bios show that sata 600 brake hibernation mode, if bios with sata 600 -> hibernation fails with bsod "internal_power_error", and 1.09 too, i use hibernation when changing batteries, therefore i will use sata 300 anyway.

2.21 released, can you make menus and slic for it?

What way to flash recovery image bios image with pure-dos without programmer? I guess it should be easy with same utility? or it cant access to entire flash area?

And also question, my win8 key lost with my plays? what chip and place keep it?

The bios flash worked perfectly, but changing the video memory allocation appears to have corrupted the bios somehow and the machine no longer boots - the power lights come on, fans spin up, but the screen stays off and after a few second it shuts off. I've tried using a crisis drive and that fails - the machine goes into crisis mode (fans at full speed and stays on) but doesn't appear to actually access the drive (to read/flash the new bios) at all.

A repair shop has quoted me $300 to replace the motherboard, but that's as much as a new machine.

If anyone has suggestions I'm willing to try pretty much anything at this point. Cheers.

Hi guys!
I wondered whether it's possible to increase the video item fixed at 128 in the main section of bios 2.21. Does any one know that?

Ok friend,

So your Bios v.2.21 Slic 2.1 permanent + Menu tabs Unlocked here :

http://rghost.net/55042006

Use a USB Stick Dos Formatted Bootable to boot from and copy all files from "modified" folder into.
When booted use flash.bat to write your bios.
