hi peoples,

i've tried to mod à clevo bios (unhide some options) with your tool. First of all, really thanks for your work on all these laptops, it's nice to see someone interested in AMI bioses.

I'm trying to do something close to your work on clevo's W5x0EU series. It's ultrabook like notebooks with only igpus an no option in the bios for ram upgrade, igp and CPU overclock or dedicated memory extension. No way to adjust fan speed and more (sorry i mean't less)

When i try to unhide some options by passing them to "USER", there's nothing more than before after flash and reboot.

So what am i doing wrong?

ps: sorry for my bad english and my weak knowledge on the subject. I'm eager to learn but i can't find any usefull tips about aptio

[edit:] got options with "extendend User" option but can't acces to chipset and northbridge menu

Additional information from a reseller:

FN+B Does something...but we don't know what it does...try just hold down FN+B and then turn it on...When the HDD light flickers a bunch then let go...it also resets the EC and something else...also fixed NVRAM corruption with it...

Naman, you where right! It should be named "P170HMx.rom" and be at CD001 (CD ROM DRIVE 1)

what contains the CD001? and how to use the attached recovery modules?

I updated succesfully system bios P170HM3.05 but unsuccesfully when I tried to update the EC bios ECP170HM.09, and after that I restarted it .. and now I'm looking for a solution to recover my BIOS... please help

TBH, I think by flashing the new BIOS first your system now runs an old EC with a new BIOS...do you emember which EC version it had before the failed update?

I could not find the link to P170HM3 bios files. What I can find is tools only.
Can I apply your bios to my hardware? Please kindly check and inform.

Hello. I've read through this thread and a 30 page thread on another forum you were active on and I gotta say, my head hurts.

I didn't find any solution to an issue I'm having. I have the Clevo p151emx with a 3630qm. I'd like to use Turbo Time but I can't turn it on in the bios because it's a locked menu. Could you help me unlock it so I can turn it on?

i have a clevo p150em and i'm tired of this endless pain of enduro
ati crap. i have a Dell nVidia GTX 680m and the notebook doesn't
detect it. It just give out continuous one second beeps for ~60
seconds and shuts off. i reckon the gpu fan is controled by the ec
and dell vbios is not compatible or recognized by a locked ec.

I fiddled a bit with the tools from the 1st post and have seen
in the bios file are some options for optimus, ati 4/5.0hd and
igp settings. Anyway, before i brick my notebook i ask here if
someone can make me a bios with ec so that the notebook
accept any "foreign" video and wlan card.

Bios is ami 2.15.227 clevo bios 1.02.17RCL and EC 1.02.11PM

Just a stock bios for unlocked video and wlan cards. Also an
added setting for the last state of the wlan would be great
as it available for the bluetooth.

Flash the Mod (link in my signature) and it'll enable Intel XTU support for your system to adjust that among other things).

On that system all video signal is physically routed through the iGPI to reach the monitor.
If we disable the iGPU we won't have anymore picture at all (internal and external).

first of all, thanks for the tools in the first post

I have been looking for a AMIBCP tutorial on how to unlock the hidden features, but I can't find one that is noob proof

wouldn't it be possible to make a batch file integration in AMIBCP to optimise all reasonable hidden bios features to auto change on click - like a automatic optimise button?

Anybody know a good tutorial on how to change the values in the bios?

Is here anyone who can upload new version of amibcp - 5.00 . I am using AMIBCP4.55.0070 however it is not working correctly with msi gt80 bios. I can edit but during saving modified bios I recive an error. I think new version of amibcp will resolve my issue. Please share new version .
