Hi friend,
sp6xxxx.exe are RSA Signed as sp5xxxx.exe, but for sp5 RSA Key was leaked and They are moddable, for sp6 nothing yet so far, then not moddable !

Hey BDMaster! Long time no see Big Grin

There were never any private RSA keys leaked. However there's a public decryption key in InsydeFlash.exe that can decrypt all HP bios. Most sp5xxx bios only have their digital signature verified one time by InsydeFlash.exe right before being flashed. This is why we have to modified Iscflash.dll to bypass this check. InsydeFlash.exe can actually flash decrypted bios, so there's no need to ever encrypt them again after modding them. Hewprsa in Andy's tool does encrypt them though using public keys.

The problem is because newer HP bios, like most sp6xxx, verify their digital signature every time the computer starts up. And we haven't been able to bypass this check yet. So that's why these kind of bios are unmoddable.

I understand 80% what are you guys are saying (i haven't ever dig deep like you guys but i play some CTF) and i appreciated for your comment. But is there anyway to get my CPU work at 2.7GHz without modding BIOS?
Even i was using Bruteforce MD5 it just stuck at 44% in Task Maneger (Speed 1.19GHz; Maximum Speed 2.7GHz) and in the Core Temp 100% of my CPU (Frequency is 1197.28MHz). So this is problem with BIOS right?

No, It can be OS problem too, are you running on battery or AC power? when on battery, the OS can keep the processor from going MAX speed... If I were you, I'ld put a linux distro in a pen stick and try to get the processor to MAX under it, if it goes to max, the problem is with Windows.

Regards

Thanks for the tip. But i guess it's the problem of BIOS. HP company don't wanna me harm my Laptop.

So mean while it is unmodable ... just consider that ... i don't wanna get them too hot and let them live longer :3 Thank you all.

I have the HP Pavilion dv6 3100 and the bios version is: Insydeh20 f29 rev 3.5, I try to use F10+A but noticing that it happened, and I need to use advanced configuration to change the boot monitor, I have another solution to change the monitor or is the only option is in the bios?
