Hey BDMaster,
REALLY sorry I wasn't here months ago to say thank you. I thought I would get some email update if someone even replied to this thread. It just randomly popped in my mind to check it tonight, and well, yeah...sorry.
I tried to download the file you linked to, but it's been deleted. Can I ask if you'd be kind enough to upload it again?

Manufacturer: Acer
- Model : Aspire E1-572
- Bios Revision : 2.13
- Bios Type : Insyde
- Bios Identification : InsydeH20 Rev3.7
- Bios Link : http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...&SC=EMEA_8
I personally hope to install a second HDD/SDD and have it initialized correctly.
Thank you very much for the effort - and let me know how to help out!
Idem As above only your is 2.13, If forgotten to say every bios have to get the same version as which is in eeprom so If You have a differen version update before original and then modded one ! :

My friend, I cannot thank you enough.
Let me know if there's anything I can do for you.
I may have spoken too soon.
When I try the procedure, I just get three long beeps from the laptop and it reboots. Loads into Windows. No change to Bios. Whole event takes less than 10 seconds.
I used USBImage.exe to write the file to a USB drive.
Removed usb, shut down, took out battery, unplugged AC, held down power to discharge the board for 10 seconds, inserted the usb in a 2.0 slot, held down FN+ESC, plugged in AC, hit power button, and...three long beeps, and reboot.
Except once. I was booted into a GRUB loader...where it asked me to tap to continue a few times before it rebooted. No change.
Do I need to use a different USB?

Hello guys,
Please could anybody help me to downgrade or modify BIOS INSYDE 2.13 which i updated recently.
Bios that was from Factory had this option to change IDE/AHCI but not it does only show AHCI and no other choice.
I want to install XP as a secondary OS for some testings besides W8.1 so that's why i need this IDE option as i dont have a SATA XP VERSION.
Thanks.

Hi friend ,
You can Upgrade or Downgrade using Recovery Mode !
The Recovery Bios to use for it needs to be prepared before, so You have to Decapsulate and Rename !
Let me know to which version want to downgrade !

Thanks my friend.
I dont really care with version but only the way to get back the choice between IDE/AHCI in the actual version 2.13 or if not 2.12 is ok.
Another thing:
Are there any options available for graphic card memory in hidden menu?
Bye.
Riad.
