Asus P5LP-LE (HP Leonite & Leonite2): 45-nm CPU support
#11
Not necessarily , its good that my mod didnt brick the board which means we can try again if you want to?

I have some more 10676 microcode to put in , just have to dfigure out how to make the space!

Stay tuned!

Since i really only need support for the e7200 would it be possible to remove all support for the other core 2 duo chips? That would logically clear up quite a bit of space and might be easier for you. Thanks again for all the help!

OK ive updated the download again. The bios now only contains microcode for 10676 (all possible revisions) , nothing else!

Good luck!

Sorry I haven't responded back in a while, school has kept me pretty busy. I'll be home this weekend for easter break so I should have a chance to play around with it again. In your previous post you stated that you removed all processors and only put support for the e7200. This is awesome but it worries me because if it doesn't work after the flash, doesn't that mean that my motherboard is effectively bricked because there is no longer support for any other processors?

Thanks,
Nate

Hello all,

I have an older HP a6057c tower that I am getting ready to run FreeNAS on, but first need to get where I need it to be. It has an Intel C2D E4300, 1.8Ghz 2MB Cache, and 1GB RAM. I have installed 8GB RAM, and an Intel C2D E8600, 3.3Ghz 6MB Cache. It has an ASUS P5LP-LE Motherboard.

Here is my issue, The machine is 64 bit capable, and I did install 64bit windows to verify, the CPU is also 64bit capable. But for some reason, the machine is only seeing 3.5GB RAM, both in windows and FreeNAS. Am wondering if the full 8GB can be unlocked in my BIOS

Also, the machine does noot boot or even post with the E8600 installed. I have some screen shots, and I have the BIOS that is installed. The BIOS is an HP install EXE, Will that work?
