[Request] Compaq Presario C762NR
#1
There are two main things I want to know if anyone can fix please.

1> Turn on the VT-x flag
2> Can the memory bug be fixed?

The memory bug refers to the fact that this laptops chipset can handle 2x4gb ram, but because of a bug in the BIOS, you can't put anything larger than 1GB in slot0 (closest to motherboard).

The original BIOS is here: sp48079.exe
which appears to use InsydeFlash not WinFlash as indicated on the webpage. The BIOS version is F.35

Hi friend,
It's not possible to correct Memory Bug as it needs to do a deeper Mod and
We cannot Debug Bios Software !
For VT Mod We have to modify EFI IFR Code like this :

0x2B84A Variable 0xBE[1] equals 0x0 {12 07 BE 00 01 00 00}
0x2B851 Setting: VT Support, Variable: 0xBD[1] {05 09 BD 00 01 0E 02 0F 02}
0x2B85A Option: Enabled, Value: 0x1 {09 09 22 00 01 00 04 45 00}
0x2B863 Option: Disabled, Value: 0x0 {09 09 21 00 00 00 05 45 00}
0x2B86C End of Options {10 02}
0x2B86E End If {18 02}

So please upload some Menu Tabs Screen Shots to look what is shown and waht is hidden in your Bios !
Let me know
