[REQUEST]HP Insyde H20 Bios unlock

Hi to everyone,

today i wanted to upgrade my hp pavilion dv6 7137ez notebook with a ssd. But it's not possible since hp locks every option in the bios needed for the upgrade. such as ahci mode and several others.

I've never done a mod before so i'm very scared i'm asking for help.

Hello zumcar,

Usually, you can just replace your HDD with an SDD without changing any BIOS settings. That is what I did in my notebook (I did finally decide to enable AHCI a few months after the upgrade to increase performance) and it had no problems.


Since this is an Insyde BIOS request, I am going to move this thread to the Insyde BIOS Unlocking Requests thread so that it can get more attention from Insyde BIOS modders.
