Hi, I have a big request to you to unlock all the hidden options in the BIOS for this model laptop, or even a majority. I will be very grateful, and a description of the laptop BIOS download link below.

Hello turnermier,
The two links are down, so I am going to see if I can find the BIOS on the internet.
Question: The model is "KHLB2" and NOT "KHLBX" correct?
Does this page show your notebook? I want to confirm, because this thread is based on an old post from 2012.
Hello turnermier,
I found a link to your BIOS.
A copy of the BIOS for this model can be found on this webpage. Unfortunately, this is only BIOS version 1.06, but the INTEL Menu that is in your BIOS should more than make up for that. It contains CPU, thermal, graphics, PCI, SATA, etc. settings.
I will keep you updated as I progress through the BIOS mod.
~Steven
Hello turnermier,
Your BIOS has a VERY full INTEL Menu. Here is a picture of what I have unlocked so far:
I should have your BIOS modded and uploaded sometime tomorrow. There are a few more menus, sub-menus, and settings that are available for unlocking.

I am also very interested in this, Here is the link I use to fetch drivers for my HLB2 laptops. The 1.07 BIOS is provided in the BIOS directory.
Thanks for all your hard work!
Sorry for the delays. I got carried away with the BIOS mod and went overboard. Look at the pictures in the bottom of this post to see what I mean. The pictures only contain some of the unlocked settings, you will see the rest once I upload the BIOS image. This is the first Main Menu mod that I have performed on a Phoenix BIOS.
Thank you for giving me a link to the latest BIOS.

I am going to halt my modding processes on the older BIOS and finish it up so that you can test it if you wish. After that, I am going to begin work on the newer BIOS version, so expect a few more days of delay. I am currently swamped with BIOS modding projects and requests.

I have finished the BIOS mod on the older BIOS image (v1.06). I will finish the verification process tomorrow (to ensure that the BIOS mod is safe and ready for flashing). I am also going to document what I did, so that the information can be easily referenced in the future if further mods are made. After this, I will upload the BIOS and begin work on the newer BIOS version (v1.07). You can expect this BIOS mod to be uploaded tomorrow.
It might be a while (2-6 days) before I get to the 1.07 BIOS, because I have several other BIOS modding requests and projects that I need to take care of.

Hello turnermier & CoolBeans,
Your modified BIOS image is at the bottom of this post. I performed a very full unlock on this BIOS.
Please be sure to read the readme within the archive. It contains disclaimers, warnings, precautions, and a changelog.
The modified BIOS image within the archive is named "bios_mod.wph". You may need to rename it to "bios.wph" before flashing.
Now for the usual warnings/disclaimers:
Quote:Please remember to take proper precautions when flashing your BIOS. Even if the image is safe, the flashing process can still fail. Make sure that (if applicable) your notebook is fully charged (100%), the power plug is properly connected, and that the chance of the power going out is as minimal as possible. Do not interrupt the flashing process. If possible, it is a good idea to have a working CRISIS recovery disk when messing with your BIOS. Use the flashing instructions for your particular computer brand. DO NOT DO ANYTHING UNNECESSARY!!!
I take absolutely NO responsibility for ANY damages that may occur to you, your computer, your personal belongings, your neighbor's cat, or any other personnel or equipment as a direct or indirect result/consequence of your, or any one else's, use or misuse of any of the files that are in this archive at the present or at any time in the past or the future. You assume full responsibility for any damages or inconveniences that may occur by choosing to flash, or otherwise use or misuse, this image or any of the other files within this archive.
Have fun!
Please remember to post the results of the BIOS flash!
