Hello there

Any one here could unlock this BIOS to get access to Advanced menu settings ?

If UEFI is impossible to unlock is there a way to flash a non-UEFI BIOS over ?

I do not even the Windows 8 SL that came here since I upgraded my HD and had 1 spare W8 pro licence...

BTW, other BIOS for the 421 could be used here ? The differece is about keyboard layout (here is brazilian ABNT) and I remeber a day with my old notebook (Mirax) that I used a BIOS for diff language and it scrowed some keys...

Tks

It is possible to make an unlock of any Bios Insyde.
Offsets will differ a little, but the principle is identical.

Hi TolstyLuty and BD, tks !

btw, if I want to revert this, is it possible to reflash the factory BIOS from Acer site ?

tks !

You can wait TolstyLuty for an Original Version Bios Recovery File, He will do as
He explained reverting that two bytes to get original Setuputility module.
About your Settings, They are stored in NVRAM chip normali is a 25x16 8 legs Eeprom !
You can find Eeprom Bios and CMOS (NVRAM) Eeprom both near Chipset chip !
You don't need to reset these values as first time You will go into Bios Utility They will be rewritten !
