Hi all,
Would like to request some incredibly brave soul to take a stab at a whitelist removal for the HP Elitebook 8440p
It is an RSA encoded bios. I am willing to test, and have bios backup USB ready and the ability to remove a CMOS battery (if that method will work).
I'm pretty sure this is an Insyde BIOS. I've read some things that worry me that this specific laptop/bios might not be doable. I've seen a partial test thread on here somewhere too, but that was a while ago, and I was kind of hoping things might have moved on.
Laptop Model: HP Elitebook 8440p
Bios Name: SP56765
Bios Version: F.21 (28 Mar 2012)
My current bios update is here: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp56501-57000/sp56765.exe
I have hosted a copy on my dropbox, just in case here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/52351/sp56765.exe
PCI IDs (current card):
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4239&SUBSYS_13118086&REV_35
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4239&SUBSYS_13118086
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4239&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4239&CC_0280
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.
