[REQUEST] Lenovo Thinkpad E130 (H4ETxxWW) Whitelist Removal
(07-28-2014, 04:43 PM)LambruscoKid Wrote: Hello!

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E130 3358-CTO with a crappy broadcom wifi card and I'm trying to upgrade it to an Intel one (more compatible with linux).
I've been using the search engine of the forum for hours without a good result. All modded BIOS links where broken. Even the links for the "tools" (like FPT or the one to flash de modded bios) were broken too.
So I have no idea how to remove the whitelist check in my bios.
Can anyone provide tools and instructions to do it please?
Also, keep in mind that I don't have any running windows machine to do all the stuff. I hope there's a way to do all the steps in linux.

Thanks!

Hi sovem, thanks for replying but I cannot use this tool because I don't have windows installed on the laptop. I can create a FreeDOS usb stick and run a DOS backup tool maybe.
Is there a linux or DOS tool?

Thanks!

See how to make one here:
http://www.howtogeek.com/136987/how-to-c...usb-drive/

https://app.box.com/s/w8xgrhpwf2nx0kamfkc0

Copy the "Modified" folder contents into the stick and boot in DOS mode and
Run Flash.bat to update.

Here the tool for Dos use, unpack and copy all files from modified folder to USB root :

http://rghost.net/57159916

Boot from USB in Dos Mode and the run this comand :

fpt -d bios.bin -bios

It will create a Bios Backup on USB, then upload here for Sovem to Mod !
