Hello fruitman,
It appears that the file you linked to is corrupted. Even if this were not the case, I would still need a copy of the BIOS image from an official BIOS update. BIOS backups do not contain platform data (necessary for instructing the BIOS update program on how to flash the BIOS).
There are two more pieces of information that I need to perform the BIOS mod:
1.) What model of computer do you have? Looking at the BIOS image in a hex editor, it appears you have an "HP-Pavilion NY441AA-ABA s5114f". Is this information correct?
2.) A new BIOS link that links to the official update from the manufacturer. If your computer is HP, you would go to HP's site. If the model I listed above is yours, then I may be able to help you find the right image.
