I hope someone will do this soon, I'd love to run windows 64 bit with the 4gb I have installed. SSD upgrade and we've got a powerhouse!:-)

You & me both! I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed with 4gb. of DDR3 ram and a Samsung 840 Pro Series SSD. Little 10 inch powerhouse it is.

Hallo everybody and thanks for the work you've done on this.
I'm new here, this is my first post, and i've just bought a second hand 1025ce.
I'd like to install a 64bit OS, but i've no idea of the passages needed for the fixing of the bios, can someone post a step by step guide for this upgrade?
If that's not possible, i'd appreciate a link to some instructions about how to use the files posted by Xenon (I actually have no clue on their function).

I might have understood how to flash the bios, but what should i do withe the microcode file?
Is there anyone who can spend some minute to link good instructions? I'm searching on internet but i'd like to avoid the bricking of the pc whit incorrect procedure (or understanding).

I got it! The culprit is the code that does this in BIOS: [MSR 0x122] |= 3;
So, just blank (NOP) out that piece of code in BIOS and have fun with x64. I don't have any experience with BIOS modding, but I am familiar with assembly language programming and almost everything in Intel SDM.
It took me quite some time to figure out there are 2 places to patch (for bootstrap processor and application processors).
Below are some notes to help you gain confidence that nothing fishy is being added. Use your hex editor compare function to compare between the BIOS file from Asus and my patched version.

Why isn't it possible to attach already modded ROM? Many users just can't mod and disassemble.

Optionally, you can update the microcode as well. I discovered Acer AOD270 BIOS has a newer version of the microcode.
In Asus 1025C (and old BIOS version of Acer AOD270): Version 0x010C, 2011-11-23
In Acer AOD270: Version 0x010D, 2011-12-22

With new microcode,

Note the hashes are on 2097152-byte ROM file, not zip file.

When I flash the modified ROM to my 1015CX eee pc, the Easy Flash Uility report "Model Name doesn't match!". After google "eeepc model name", it seem that the ROMID in ROM file doesn't match to bios' ROMID. Is it possible flash the 64bit ROM to my 1015CX? The hardware of 1015CX and 1025C is similar.

BIOS with new microcode works great. 1025c N2800. Anybody, please, activate hardware virtualization and EMT64 in 1301 BIOS. Ideally, BIOS 1301 with new microcode, EMT64 and VMX from previous reply. Good article: http://habrahabr.ru/post/152056

The MSR 0x3A is the official documented way of enabling/disabling and locking the VT-x usage. Based on experiments on Core i7 processor, after disabling and locking using MSR 0x3A, CPUID(1).ecx.bit5 will still reports VT-x is present in CPU, therefore SecurAble will show "Locked OFF". The case is different on my N2600: CPUID(1).ecx.bit5 is 0 and MSR 0x3A cannot be used to enable VT-x and SecurAble shows "No".
So check if SecurAble reports "Locked OFF" or "No" for your N2800. Unless you can find an N2600/N2800 showing "Locked OFF" (or equivalently CPUID(1).ecx.bit5=1), I can't do anything further.

Hey, this is my first post and I´m not at all experienced with bios modding. Yet I would love to enable x64 on my asus eeepc 1025c. I have the model with the Atom N2800, and currently run Ubuntu 14.04. I tried running Securable under Wine and it came up with 32-bit, Yes, No. Do I understand correctly that the process described on habrahabr.ru won´t work? Can I still use the files Xenon posted? (Which one do I use, and how do I use the file?)
