hi~~
I can help you out to inject microcode into this bios ,it's easy .
However,i google info for "dfi x58 x5650"(as same as stepping b1), it seems a poor
chance to support 32nm cpu,but i still modified this bios for you.
You can try it !!
Because i don't have enought space to upload file in here,so i upload it to mega free space ,following is download link:
>> here<<
There are two bios files within this archive, you can flash one of them or both .
Good luck
Feng

I injected different date microcode into them separately,so you can try one of them .
Why is it failure???i don't understand about you say ??
So long as you flash the bios carefully, which don't interrupt it during the flashing procedure ,you will not get a failure .

That 's what I wanted to know.
Last thing,
are you using this method to update bios ? I'd like understand .
Award Bios Modding
or there is a GUI tool to mod bios ....
Where can find a microcode of processor ?!! Sorry if I'm tedious.
thanks.

I think cbrom is the only one for changing modules for award bioses (that works with newer bios that is)
microcodes are extracted from other boards preferably similar to yours

I edited it by cbrom+winhex, you can google how to use it and find these software.
what's different of the two bios ??
LX58D908_1.BIN is used microcode extracted from x58 board of asus、gigabyte and msi .
LX58D908_2.BIN is used microcode extracted from intel DX58OG,it has newer micocode .
Now,do you understand why i modified two files ??
This board is using the type award bios, there are many tools can flash it, like winflash(for award)、awdflash or dfi own tool(if it has) .
You can search them by google and learn how to use these utility .

Thanks mikemike097, for info...
genius239 I tested all bios mod but the x5670 isn't recognized by MB
This the code on display of main-board when install xeon x5670:
Power on -> prompt stopped at 88.
Manual reference:
There is no "88" definition on the award BIOS code.(Bios program executed the wrong process therefore showing the wrong POST code).
Possible Cause:
1- Mixed-up BIOS data.
2- MB is defective. (NB chip may be defective).
Solution
1- Clear CMOS data.
2- RMA action required.
With my old processor i7 the system it's ok.
Today a user on other forum tellme that with asus rampage mainboard and this bios AsusRampage3bios and xeon x5670 all go OK....

It is not surprising .
I have told you that board of dfi x58 has a poor chance to support 32nm xeon .
After all it hasn't to update their bios as a long time.
I have visited a china forum ,which a user can't properly boot with l5639、x5650 and x5660 by dk x58 and ut x58 .
