Hello my friends
Can somebody please unlock my BIOS from Dexbook LN DXI7EM8H5? It's a notebook from a Brazillian( or probably chinese) manufacturer that sells cheap and good notebooks, but with almost none support. Their website is down, so I can't get any support for bios updates, and I had to extract mine. I need to unlock all the possible options, especially VT-d, CFG-Lock and Secure Boot Mode. I don't know if its possible, but any upgrades would be amazing. I know that it isn't much, but I can donate 10 dollars to the person that helps me. I'm sorry that I can't give anything else, as I'm a student with not alot of money. If it helps, here goes some of my specs:
Core I7 2640M 2.8GHz Sandy Bridge, 8GB RAM 1333, Chipset: Intel® HM65.
The CPU ID is 000206A7, and the MicroCode Patch ID is 00000014

I got a reply from ECS, the manufacturer of the motherboard of this notebook. Actually, this notebook is an OEM, so anyone that has a MB40II motherboard notebook, this bios should work ( i think? please someone confirm this for me ).
It came with a program called WinPhlash, I don't know if you guys had acess to it, but it can update the phoenix bios from Windows. The cool thing about this file that the ECS sent me is that it has the release.txt, with all the changes made to the bios. It also improved the bios wait time, making the system boot faster.

Also, if anyone could unlock this bios instead of the other one, I would be very greatful.

Hello rafaelbari,
Sorry for the long wait time. I have had a lot of schoolwork lately.
I will take a look at your BIOS image.
For unpacking and repacking, never use Phoenix BIOS Editor. It is prone to resizing/rearranging/etc. (and thus, corrupting) the BIOS modules upon repacking. This is the tool we use. The latest version as of this message is v2.58.

Hi, sorry but this is a very unique bios, one tool says its an HP BIOS and another Acer.
But no tool will let me extract the modules within, and they seem to be encrypted.
Another weird thing is that the BIOS is only 2MB which is very small compared to others.
I'll keep trying to decrypt but I think this BIOS might not be mod-able.
Sorry

Well, that's strange, when I modded the bios, it didn't give me any errors, but I used the bios file that was sent to me by ECS, so I don't know if is the same thing. I used some tutorials on the internet to do it, using a HEX editor to mod the menus, and apparently everything was ok, but I wasn't able to repack the BIOS, as I didn't know how. I really hope that the bios is mod-able
