I need some help...
So, I stack together laptop from old parts, most of them are from Toshiba satellite L350-147 (LCD, housing)...but motherboard is from Toshiba l300-17o. Visible difference is in screen size, l300 is 15", and L350 is 17", and MBOs are exactly the same (at least regarding dimensions, connectors....), so the Frankenstein laptop (after replacing NEC/TOKIN capacitor on MBO) starts to work (great, right?). The only bad thing is that the 105key keyboard acts like it is 85 key keyboard... A friend of my said "there is a numb-lock option in BIOS", so i have search for it, but there is no such option, I have insyde BIOS 1.5 version (MBO Part number: PSLB0E-06U015G3), I was looking and it seams to be the last update...and no numb-lock option in BIOS... So I have tried to turn numpad with Fn+F11, numlock led turns on but numeric pad is not working, and I have found that numbers are allocated across leathers [m j k l u i o 7 8 9 ] and not over the numpad ...
So, the big question is, is it possible to update l300 with modded BIOS where 105key keyboard would function in proper way?
If answer is "yes" please direct me in what to search for, and what to learn more to make keyboard work as expected.
Thank You in advance for answers and feedback.
You can looking for Lenovo Cntrl Fn inversion thread, some post explain how key are coded into bios module.
I don't remember much about It ! so You have to search all You can !

Hi,
so I was reading a lot of threads, lots of suggestion how to swap keys...but that is not what I need...I need unlocked "advance" tab in my BIOS. My numeric part of keyboard is not on (BIOS load 85 key keyboard, and my is 105 key). Apparently under unlocked "advance" tab there is option keyboard numb-lock on/off. So far I have manage to make BIOS backup (INSYDE-1.50.rom), but I don't know what to do next?... Help with unlocking hidden features???
here is the link to bios update:

THX in advance

My laptop have a heat problem.
I tought that I could solve it by Throttlestop.
In settings of "Tubo power limit" section
Primary plane power limit was "0"
When I bought my laptop, this feature was unlocked and I could change it.
I mistakely sellct " lock" choise and now it is locked to "58"
Can some one help me to "unlock it" ?
This is the bios that I download and use as "update"

Thank you all for your help and time...
Hi friend,
Have You tried to reflash Original Bios to the Eeprom ? or cleared the CMOS ?
Let me know
Regards
Laptop is new and reaching to clearing features is not possible without disassebling it.
I re flash the bios by the one that I downloaded from the givven link.
My first impression is " only changing the solid partsa not the "user sellectables"
because all my settings and choices( there is nt much choise but ) were still there..
PS:the bios versions were same ( the one when I bought and the one I downloaded) there is no older firmware that I can use..
Ok friend,
use these tools run them as Administrator and upload here the results files :
http://rghost.net/57069912
http://rghost.net/53128665
I will try to replace your Signicant Data into Original Bios Generalized, clearing all Eeprom extra data.
Let me know
Regards
Hi i am new to the forum and i downloaded the tool, but i cant run it, instead i have unpacked it but i am not certain which file i need to run, to get the bios RAR file to upload..??
