[REQUEST] HP Pavilion dv6-3xxx (AMD) series BIOS Unlock
#21
I have bad new man, after I change the Primary Graphic Adapter to 'Ext Graphics (PEG)', my notebook don't show more anything in the screen. Sad

I took out the battery and left out all night to see if it reset the bios settings but still the same. And there is the LED on the caps lock is just blinking at 5 times.
With pen drive recovery bios (following your tutorial) also did not succeed, put the USB drive, secure Win + B, push the button and turn, and after about 3 seconds, and is direct only beeping. I waited about two minutes but nothing changed. :'(

Hello

Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
Model: pavilion HP Pavilion dv6-3010ev
BIOS type: insyde

I 've flashed the F.28 revision of the bios that Hp used to provide.

Now i can only find the F.26 (2011) revision here: sp52214.exe

And the latest F.29 (2013) here: sp61028.exe

I wanted to unlock the menu of F.29 but I don't mind to roll back to F.26

Thnx in advance

I tried to use this bios in my DV6-3090BR, and the options are great.

Of course, my main objective is to change the primary graphics adapter. So I tried different combinations, none of them succeed yet.

But reset bios defaults when screen is just black is quite simple:

1. Press F10 several times (2-3 times per second) until you heard beeps. Then press ESC.

2. Press F9, then press ENTER.

3. Press F10, then press ENTER.

Bios settings should be reseted and voilĂ , screen is working again.

Do you know if I choose PEG as primary adaptor, I need to set Discrete GFX Modules as Madison (5650, the external chip. M92 stands for 4250, the integrated graphics), and set-up correctly the lanes for it?

If I understood the settings correctly, my screen will work correctly only if I succeed in choosing correct settings for the lanes.

Do you have any clue about this? I will keep trying different setttings combinations.

Just found that sp52619 in camiloml's repository is compatible with my laptop and flashed it.
Though i can see the advanced and power tab, the graphics configuration is grayed out and it seems that i can't save any change i make since after save&exit it just hangs there until i restart the system ( power button or ctrl+alt+del).
I tried to open the *.bin file with andy tools to edit it but it says it is not a phoenix/Dell/insyde or efi bios.

Any ideas HuhHuh
