This steps are erease Windows 8 key in BIOS. How can i write it again to bios? Please help!

P.S. When i flashing bios from the DOS i has error 28 (on attachment). But i press ENTER and flashing starts. When i open bios the information like manufacturer, serial number was invalid. Later i see that windows 8 key in bios was removed too.

P.P.S After installing original bios information in bios become same as before flashing, but winddows 8 key is missing.

Hi friend, to recover the lost Win8 Serial Key, It needs a previous Bios Backup !
If You have done in past or previous this event We can replace all DMI Data !
Or You have to try to activate by internet your Win8 !

Thanks much for reply! I don`t make a backup   . But i read windows key with additional program some month before, when reinstalling windows. In attachment screen`s before and after flashing bios. So i have key, but need to put it to bios.

Hi. My friend have same notebook. I make backup of his bios + acpi tables with tool that you give. Then i find his windows 8 key in ACPITBLS.BIN and replace it with my key. I make screenshot (left - my acpi tables without license, right - of my friend), in attachment. So say me please, is that correct? How can i write acpi tables? It will not kill my notebook?

While trying to do the bios update to the modified one posted here, there was a power failure and since then the z500 is bricked!
I have tried to recover by using USB with the bios.bin file extracted from the installer package but it wont work(I have even tried renaming it to VIWZ1.bin and advwl.bin). I have also removed the case and disconnected the battery, HDD etc and tried the same method but it will just not work!! When I press the Fn+B key,(or Fn+R, both work) the laptop sits idle for about 4-5 minutes, after that the lights on the usb flash drive blink for 5 seconds and then nothing !

Please help !!!

NOTE: this happened after the whitelist removed bios was flashed and i was flashing back the stock bios

Hi everyone! Today i try to solve my problem with Windows license key. So i got. With help of HxD i change my bios backup and write my license key to same address that in bios backup of same notebook and flash it. It halp me.

i have the .rom backup file, but i don't know how to restore it.

It's simple as You have flashed Bios Mod do the same for Bios Backup (I think
You are talking about that posted before), let's rename your Bios Backup as
bios.bin replace the bios mod file into modified folder and follow the same
procedure as last time . . .
Prepare USB copy all files from modied folder etc.

hey guys i have a problem... I used this modded bios on my p500 and it worked. But then I made two changes to the RAM amount for the GPU and now it wont boot up.... Any thoughts on resetting the BIOS? THe cmos is soldered on and i didnt feel like taking it off and resoldering it... Any way to clear it????

Oh well, I've desoldered the battery and resoldered it and it didnt help.. I've tried every method of using the recovery BIOS reflash, but that hasn't worked, so Im going to buy a new motherboard and send this one to be reflashed from Lenovo....

I am sorry for my long reply (I was ill) but You could to get an SPI Programmer
and reflash Bios Rebuilded (by me) doing It by yourself so into the Future
You'll be ready to any eveniance !
