Acer Aspire V5-131(HM70x64)
I am now running bios version 2.21(sata2). Would like to downgrade to 2.09 for its sata3 capabilities.

Request a BIOS.fd file of the 2.09 or 1.09version to do a downgrade by recovery using a usb drive.

Here is 2.09,

Hi friend,
there are two Bioses relative at two MoBos :

[MULTI_FD]
Flag=1
FD#01=PCI,0,1F,00,00,FFFFFFFF,1E578086,HM77x64.fd
FD#02=PCI,0,1F,00,00,FFFFFFFF,1E5E8086,HM70x64.fd
FD#03=PCI,0,1F,00,00,FFFFFFFF,1E5F8086,NM70x64.fd

Or better It depends on Chipset MoBo :

1E578086 ---> HM77x64.fd

Intel HM77 Chipset

1E5E8086 - 1E5F8086 ---> HM70x64.fd

Intel HM70 Chipset

So for HM70 use this Recovery File :

http://rghost.net/6D4GYz72Z

and for HM77 use this Recovery File :

http://rghost.net/6fpGrMttn

Recovery Procedure :

Prepare an USB Fat32 Dos Formatted and copy into the Recovery File BIOS.fd,
then follow the Recovery Procedure . . .

- Shutdown the netbook (notebook)
- Remove all peripheral devices
- Remove battery, Remove AC power cord
- Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds (battery and AC power still out), then release
- Put the USB Memory Stick in the USB port
- Hold "Fn" + "Esc" and plug the AC power cord in
- Now press the power button (whilst still holding Fn + Esc).
Wait until the fan will run, then release "Fn" + "Esc" keys
- The fan will run for about 2-10 minutes and the USB drive activity LED will blink
- I think the netbook rebooted automatically. If it doesn't, unplug the AC power cord once the fan has turned off

The bios should be updated with the modified BIOS, and boot as per normal.

If the Recovery Procedure will not work, then I will use the FPT mode !
Let me know
Regards

Try again this one Recovery Mode (check file size 5120 KB) :

http://rghost.net/72ZlGpdYx

If this one will not work yet then use FPT file, so prepare a Txt file
with all your laptop Significant Data :

UUID, Model, Serial, S/N, Win License, etc get from Bios Setup Menu Information
or on abel under laptop bottom !
Do a ScreenShot of Informnation Tab from Bios Setup Menu and upload here for me !
Upload here for me the file You prepared and I will upload for You the FPT Bios Mod
to Roll back at v.1.09 !
Let me know
Regards
