Ok friend,
use the Recovery Bios Mod File and follow the Recovery Procedure :

http://rghost.net/8lZRwRp76

- Prepare an USB Fat32 Formatted stick then
- copy Recovery File into and Perform the emergency flash . . .

- Shutdown the netbook (notebook)
- Remove all peripheral devices
- Remove battery, Remove AC power cord
- Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds (battery and AC power still out), then release
- Put the USB Memory Stick in the USB port
- Hold "Fn" + "Esc" and plug the AC power cord in
- Now press the power button (whilst still holding Fn + Esc).
Wait until the fan will run, then release "Fn" + "Esc" keys
- The fan will run for about 2-10 minutes and the USB drive activity LED will blink
- I think the netbook rebooted automatically. If it doesn't, unplug the AC power cord once the fan has turned off

The bios should be updated with the modified BIOS, and boot as per normal.

Let me know
Regards

Hey guys,

I managed to upgrade to the 2.13 version of the BIOS with relative ease. This solved my issue concerning the fact that i could not set "Secure Boot" to disabled.

Step 1: Download the v2.13 driver from the acer website at http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...SC=EMEA_18

Step 2: Follow the steps at: http://catchtito.blogspot.it/2013/05/how...-bios.html
(You will need a hex editor like http://www.hexedit.com/ to edit the installation file)

I know this is a very late reply to this thread, but it worked for me and I hope someone will find this useful.

Hey there.
Im looking for a new bios to flash for my laptop .
It's a acer aspire v3-571g actually using the 2.17 version of the uefi bios.
Thermal thrttling is setted to 74 degrees and this make the dedicated nvidia card useless and impossible to use.
I have been searching for 1 year to fix this problem, please help me i'm desperate.
I desperatly search for one with advanced menu, to edit this useless thermal limit, since those cards are designend to work at 80/85 degrees.I will donate 50$ to the one will fix my problem.
cheers

To eliminate problems caused by inadequate thermal throttling, you can try "Throttlestop", there just untick "BD PROCHOT" and it should allow to use your laptop to full potential of its hardware.

If it is ticked, GPU sends a signal that it is too hot to the CPU and thus starts its (CPU) thermal throttling, winch should start only at +95 degrees C (for intel icore).
For my laptop it was when GPU reached 78 degrees. Now with thermal throteling fix, GPU t does not exceed 81 C.
