Help: System BIOS recovery failed: HP DV6-3127TX
#1
Hi i need your help to recover my bios.
Whenever i boot my laptop...it shows the error: System BIOS recovery failed.
I didnt try to update/flash bios...it just happened one fine morning.
Here are the details
Hewlett-Packard
Version F.29
Date 2011-11-21
Insyde H20 (SP55299)

I Have done the following things to recover :
1. Create a usb with bios files with 3type of extn: BIN,FD,ROM
2. Created multiple copies of the bios files according to the platform.ini file
3. Creating EFI boot folders in usb drive
4. Win+B to boot from usb

Every time the same error.

NOTE: i flashed my bios 8 months back to whitelist my wifi chip, which i got it from this forum.

Any help is highly appreciated...

Here You go to get Donovan6k Tutorial :

here You go to get your Bios Recovery Files :

http://donovan6000.blogspot.it/2013/06/i...overy.html

here You go to get HP BIOS Update UEFI (use this tool to prepare an
USB Stick to use for Recovery Procedure) :

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp52501-53000/sp52509.exe

Recovery Procedure :

Use HP tool to format and prepare USB UEFI then rename It as HP_TOOLS then
copy into the two Recovery Files extracted for You and Boot from USB Stick !

If that doesnt work, try a different USB to reflash. One of my USB's worked, one didnt.

thanks to all of you...

I am able to recover my BIOS.

after recovering, the laptop rebooted and said "Invalid CMOS - Press Enter to Reboot"
I did that and then it booted correctly.

Thanks again...

Also, after reboot, bios didnt identify my Intel Wifi Module....
Np...i replaced the Intel Wifi with my Ralink WIFI chip...and rebooted...

Now I am writing this note ... from my old-bricked HP laptop...

Do I have to flash again to get my Wifi Module working??

Thanks aging Guy !! God Bless..

Good afternoon!
I have exactly the same error.
All actions do not lead to success.
The error is repeated every time.
Cannot restore bios.
Help me please.
Updated bios from this forum.
