Hello,
I own a C521 running last Dell's BIOS, which is 1.1.11 and can be found here: http://downloads.dell.com/bios/DMC521-010111.EXE
I bought an AMD 2650e CPU but system is telling me "CPU unknown, 1600Mhz, 800FSB, 512kb L2 cache"
System booted normally, I'm using it with a Linux distro w/o problems. The only drawback is that it does not recognize the CPU details.
I'm that this might lead to some kind of damage to the CPU like incorrect voltaging, power consumption, etc.
I'm running a Linux system, command prompt only, so AIDA can't be executed. Is there another way to provide the BIOS details with Linux?
Last Dell BIOS does not recoginize it. Could you please build a modified BIOS to support this CPU?
Thanks,
Gaucho
