hp dv7-3003el bios recovery
#1
Can you help me please?

My bios got corrupted and I don't have the recovery partition anymore. From what I've read so far it seems that I need the bios and sig file from the recovery partition in order to recover the laptop using win+b combination. Please send those files if you can or other files you think would be useful.

My bios is the same as this:
http://ftp.ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp4750...47531.html
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp47501-48000/sp47531.exe

The bios file is named 3635F13.FD but there are also older versions that are compatible.

Other spXXXXX files compatible with my laptop are: sp45502, sp46804.

An older version would be better. Maybe there is one in your hp tools partition in the folder bios\previous.
PM me if you can help. Thanks.

If you know of another way to recover the bios, please tell me.

Here You go to follow Donoan Tutorial :

http://donovan6000.blogspot.it/2013/06/i...overy.html

Your Bios is not Encrypted so there is not a RSA.SIG file only Bios File

It has to be renamed as A.BIN here You go to take It :

http://rghost.net/7zvMFQnZq

Prepae an USB Stick using UEFI Bios Tool here :

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp47001-47500/sp47470.exe

Then rename USB Stick as HP_TOOLS and copy Bios File into and Boot
from USB !

Thank you for your help!

I've tried the file you sent me. The laptop recognized the file only after I renamed it 363A.bin. It seems that's the name the system expects. But it doesn't work.

I press WIN+B. The laptop starts beeping for a minute as it reads the file, then nothing happens. The leds keep blinking as before.

I've waited for 30 minutes a few times but nothing happened.

It still doesn't work.

Can you offer another file for me to try or another advice?

PS
I've downloaded and tried the previous versions of firmware for this model and they didn't work either.

The versions I tried were included in the following SP files from HP:
sp45171

sp45502

sp46804

sp47531

One more thing!

The file has to be placed in the root of the stick.
