[REQUEST] Acer Aspire V3-471(G) & E1-471(G) BIOS Unlock and Update to UEFI
#51
(01-13-2015, 01:15 AM)danieldjx Wrote: Hi,

Pls help me update my Acer Aspire V3-471G from legacy bios to UEFI. I am planning to install Mac OSX on this laptop.

The InsydeFlash utility keeps giving me the following warning when I run the flashing app.

"Not allow to flash secure BIOS on current platform"

I'm currently on bios v1.29 ID: ZQS and the computer is running windows 8.1.

Thanks.

Daniel

Ok friend,
there are two ways :

1. Tito way :  http://catchtito.blogspot.it/2013/05/how...-bios.html

2. FPT way :  http://rghost.net/58219938  (run this tool as Admin and upload result file for me)

Let me know
regards

Ok, now i have successfully flash modded bios.
Just rename bios.bin to ZQS.FD from my pendrive then shutdown my laptop after that hold down the FN and ESC key, insert the ac power, the power button after pressing the power, to immediately release the three keys at the same time then the laptop will be flashing bios image.

Advance and power menu now has been unlocked.
Uefi secure boot option still not changeable, see attachment photo.

Can you mod the bios to disable secure boot or make it changeable?
I added new result.rar on attachment.

Thanks BDMaster Blush

Here You go :

http://acer--uk.custhelp.com/app/answers...ecure-boot

To disable Secure Boot You have to create a SuperVisor passvord (Security Tab) then You can
Disable or enable Secure Boot Option !
