Hello everyone.
I have a very frustrating situation with this 2011 laptop (non UEFI?). It turns out that, whenever it tries to suspend to RAM and sometimes even when shutting down, the system freezes right after the screen turns off. (It freezes at the "Windows is shutting down" screen when powering off). That is to say, power LED remains lit and the fans running.
The issue is not OS specific as it fails in the same fashion on linux.
I can't really be sure of the cause of such a problem and I don't really know of any way to debug it although I suspect it's either a hardware issue or a buggy firmware.
Therefore, I dumped and decompiled the ACPI DSDT table and attached it to this post.
Maybe someone with experience on ACPI and IASL can take a look?
Any insight on this will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks a lot.
Diego
