OK, thanks for testing. I did not update any of the revisions yet, as I wanted to get some more testing in with someone who has a spare chip (which is thanks to you ) The reason the settings did not save was probably because of an incompatibility with MEMINIT. I used the meminit from the Crosshair II, which is a variant of this chipset, but probably was not similar enough, which means I will continue the search and post a new one soon.

I have the same problem with phenom 955 step C3, I tried the 1901Beta, does not work.
now with the bios 1802, I look forward to a new bios.

P.s. I have the crosshair II formula, the bios for thuban? news?

I didn't know they were planning to release an update for Crosshair II for the X6, but I plan to include it for this board and that board (see the project list) soon. (Going on a trip soon)

I am a newbie on this forum ! I have a Asus M2N-SLI deluxe and i have buy a Phenom II 955 B.E C3. I upgrade the bios with the 1802AM3 and the pc start but the multi not change over 4x and the cpu go 800 Mhz. I try to save and on bios i see 3,2 Ghz (200*16) but on windows and when i run superpi i see that is 800mhz really. I try the 1901BETA but the pc start only on bios, the pc after have black screen, fortunely with the AZ flash 2 on the bios I came on the 1802AM3 and pc work but even at 800Mhz. I try to change the multiplier with the PhenomMrkTweker but not change, also with nvidia tune.

There is a solution for this problem?

I have some screen on CPU-Z and BIOS , if do i upload !

Yes, the 955 and the 965 are the only two proccessors that need manual configuration because of their high power demands. Read up in the last couple pages of this thread to see if you can't get it.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I see the last age of that thread but I not have more notice or setting for work fine 955 phenom that run now at 800Mhz .

I try by myself to change and set the cpu manually (change the FBS, change multiplier , disable cool and quiet and C1E , test with up to FSB and I boot and work at 1 Ghz whit 250 x 4 FBS, I try to set 4x hypertransport....)

Also I try on windows 7 to change multi on PhenomTwK and nvidia tune but on Phenom see that multi is on 16 , and in nvidia tune not change it.

I thought i would give you the heads up on a new bios for this board. I found it on the asus site. here is what it says on the website.

M2N-SLI DELUXE BIOS 5001
1.Beta Bios for Supporting AM3 CPUs
2.System still able to POST when set CPU Multiplier to 35X, but actual frequency will not change
3.Due to chipset limitation, Max HTT is 1000MHz only.
4.It will no display if downgrade Bios to lower version

im not sure if this info is any goods to you as you may be able to tweak the bios with new things.

sorry it has been so long since you heard from me, my trip was cancelled due to the volcano, so I never made it into Europe, which is good news for you guys because I will be providing an update for these boards. I never got a chance to reread the full thread, but I would appreciate it if someone could tell me what is now working in rev 5001, and what issues there are. Also, did the update ASUS make do a better or worse job compared to my update

Anyways, I have gotten a copy of the microcode for the X6, so that will be soething asus will probably not update that I hope to. Also to dadams, I will be able to post that dmp now that I am not leaving, and during the week sometime you can contact me personally via IM and I will try my best to debug your system. (I feel bad it took so long to get going again )

To ASUS, I hope I made you realize that one person gets more done in a week then you do it a month.

Info regarding what's new and what needs to be in order is appreciated. Sos far I have on my list update microcode, and X6 support and remove music alarm.

I have installed the latest asus 5001 bios. I can confirm that in this beta release they have finally got rid of that stupid useless music alarm. So at least 1 thing to cross of the list of things to do list. As for the rest of the bios it looks fairly the same as before with no real change.

955BE is properly recognized, I read on the Asus forum the ATI 5xxxx problem is solved, but 955BE doesn't work properly as before, no USBkeyboard, just one keystroke and then nothing, not the proper multiplier setting.
Are you better than the Asus guys?!!!
They did what you did.
5001 bios is nowhere else to be found.
Maybe they plan on a new motherboard with this chipset?
