Hello, and thank you for such a helpful forum!! I bought a new Intel 7260 802.11ac card for my Lenovo Twist laptop but I get the dreaded Unauthorized Card error.

I hope I've filled out the questions properly:

PCI ID of existing card: PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4359&SUBSYS_060714E4&REV_00\4&3A823452&0&00E1
I don't believe it is RSA signed. Opening it with Andy's mod tool v2.19 indicated an EDI/Insyde BIOS, no mention of Decrypting.
The new card has the following ID if needed: 8086/08B1/8086/4070

I can mod it to remove WL, but can't flash modded bios!!!

Can anyone help out here? This is a really frustrating situation... disliking my otherwise-great Lenovo right now.... Undecided

im on the same boat, the twist is a great machine, but i want the WIDI to work, and the piece of crap wireless card that was included with it doesnt support it, so i bought an intel 7260 mini pcie card, i put it in started it and it wont boot. How did you manage to remove the whitelist? maybe i can try to pick up from where u left off. Please let me know the EXACT steps u took in removing it and the software u used.

Hey there, i would really like to know how EXACTLY to remove the WL, i also bought the intel 7260 wireless card and of course it wont accept it. if you can tell or show me how to begin to do this i would really appreciate it. i tried the andy's tool 2.5 and im getting errors while its opening it then gets stuck on "working" i see the bios dump, but thats all french to me , dont understand what to do from there on.

Error 280: Failed to disable write protection for the BIOS space!

Hi friend,
your Eeprom Chip is Write protect, You can see into result file (unpack It)
only using HW SPI Programmer can do this job :
