I am unable to find any working links to the BIOS Backup Toolkit. All links seem to be dead so not sure how to backup my current BIOS.

As far as updating to these bin's, I have a bootable drive with afudos, amidedos, and flash2 but none seem to recognize these bin files.

Thank you for the links. I have successfully backed up my BIOS. I have tried multiple tools to flash my bios to the bin files you have provided but still nothing recognizes the files. I tried all the tools mentioned earlier as well as Phlash but still nothing.

In order to flash the BIOS on the T440s you _must_ use an external programmer to flash the windbond BIOS chip.
I am using a Clip on cable and a USB flasher to do it.

So there are 2 files...
Original-t440s_ 2_32_MOD.bin 16.8MB
x32_bios-region_9.5.14.1724_MOD.bin 11.5MB

I assume that "Original-t440s_ 2_32_MOD.bin" will contain the extra bios menu options?
What is the bios region mod?

Do I flash the 16MB one first and the region mod one second?

Waaaay outside of my comfort zone and skill-set. Thanks for the trouble but looks like I will have to live without built-in wifi on this system.

Thanks again.

Yeah, I made the backup from the SPI programmer and have flashed a BIOS from BDMaster that had the whitelist removed using the SPI setup.

Currently I would like to know more about these 2 files:

Original-t440s_ 2_32_MOD.bin 16.8MB
x32_bios-region_9.5.14.1724_MOD.bin 11.5MB

I assume that Original-t440s_ 2_32_MOD.bin is a non-whitelisted BIOS with advanced BIOS menu options unlocked as it matches the size of my BIOS image. I can flash this with the SPI setup but I assume that this probably needs the other file to be used as well.

I don't know anything about x32_bios-region_9.5.14.1724_MOD.bin as no details were provided about it and its much smaller than my BIOS image is.

If you or BDMaster could enlighten me a bit on these two files that would be great.

Ok It's a couple of files :

1st It's your Firmware Dump used to unlock Advanced Tab (only this)
2nd It's Bios Region Extracted from your Firmware so for anyone want to try using FPT

So You have to write It using the SPI PGM and report if worked, then We will include the NWL !
Let me know
Regards

P.S. All merit goes to OLEH ( a Big UEFI Phoenix Bios Modder !!!)
