Just popping in to see if anyone has found out if the biostar bios will work with a mcp61pm-am, I dont have any way to fix it if i get a bad flash so i want to make sure it will work at least good enough to re-flash if needed. also if i could get a link to the bios i lost the link somewhere on my desk. I have a athlon 64 X2 5000+ BE with a stock phenom II x4 heatsink just begging to be OCed .

I want to try ABIT bios that have cpu voltage.
Thx in Adv
unlocked abit bios
once the bios is on, Ctrl+f1 or f2 unlock additional menu's
make sure you use the write bootblock option on this one
Nick
awdflash abit.bin /py /sn /cc /cd /cp /wb /r
It show
Message:File Size Error!
ise these options. I reuploaded just in case. It is a confirmed good flash.
It uses part of the boot block thou to fit in the extra bios options.
/CC = clear cmos data after programming
/CD = clear dmi data after programming
/CP = clear PnP (ESCD) data after programming
/PY = program flash memory
/F = use flash routines in original BIOS for flash programming
/WB = flashes the BIOS Boot Block

Hehe! OK, later, when my PC #2 is back I will also try this BIOS... BTW.: This is the first BIOS that works in biosview in DOS-Box portable under WinXP!!!
The logo is already integrated?
----------------------------------------------
OK, missed the "Abit has no logo"-thing... BUT (!) there is the efective hook for the BIOS-logo inside! And the BIOS works fine with a Athlon 64 X2 4200+ @ 2.5 GHz and my lovely Phenom II X4 925 @ 3.4 GHz, So the unlocking was successful! Now I will start a stresstest. Hope I will post about later!
Sometimes you just have to try to be sure it is not working...
I am back in here as I promised! So tell me your needs!
