Thanks for your reply. It seems that I should pause the bios mod process when hear about the HW programmer.
See you later.
Best regards. Wink

Adding another successful HW reflash to remove the whitelist in X230 BIOS v2.64:

In-circuit reprogramming using an SO-8 clip worked perfectly for me. No desoldering or 3.3V supply required.

Hi @all,

can you please help me to remove the wifi blacklist from my Lenovo x230t (Tablet)?
I want to install a Intel-AC 7260 Wifi-Card.
I'm currently running Lenovo Bios Version 2.62

The originally installed Wifi-Card is this:

Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205
PCI Vendor ID 8086
PCI Device ID 0085

Original BIOS Download Link from Lenovo:
http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/...uj22us.exe

My BIOS Backup(s):
https://www.sendspace.com/filegroup/v03G...H3lGiJuakw

And also please tell me how to flash your modded bios, or please provide me a link where I can read about the process.

Many many thanks in advance!

Thanks for the quick reply!

Wow... Do you really need to do hardware-level modification to flash the new bios?

This is ridiculous!!! I can't do this ...

Thanks anyway for your quick help!

I should like to switch the WLAN-card on my X230T (Intel 6x05) for an Intel 7260 ac- one.

Is there a Chance to find a bios-mod, that allows for simple and straight install, although Lenovo has tried to stop that?

thanks for any help...

Hello ,

I have acquired an X230T. I can't believe that Lenovo still restricts the use of different WLAN/WWAN Modules...
I do have Bios Version 2.62, GCETA2WW.

-- Is there any Bios-Mod, that allows to use different WLAN/WAN-Cards?

-- Is there no chance of modding a Lenovo Bios in such way, that users, that are not used to programming can do it?

I just should not like to "touch" the systemboard itself other than by updateprocedures and/or simple exchange of exchangeable parts.

Thanks for any help and advice...
