Good Day Gentlemen!
I am a bit of a newbie at this and would like some help and advice please!
I have the above Foxconn MOBO and it only takes 4 GIG of RAM max. I use the PC for media center and some games. I just swapped the board for a Gigabyte version today that takes 8 gig of ram, but it turned out to be faulty!
After spending hours battling it, I am back on the Foxconn board with the new (second hand) quad core chip running, but I want to use my full 8 gig of RAM.
I am sending the Gigabyte board back for a refund and will have to get another.
Does anyone know where I can get a BIOS for this board that supports 8 GIG of RAM? A moded BIOS or whatever? Does anyone do one?
If I could get one like that I would not need to wipe the pc and install a new MOBO that takes 8 GIG.
I have 8GIG DDR2 and a Q9650 quad core chip and its fast. I cant afford to build a new I7 system so I am making do with this for the moment. Any help would be most welcome.
Cheers!
