Doate to me for my work and time . . . look into my Signature Wink

Not having success with the procedure though everything seems to work as you say and the process finishes. Still have 2.17 after trying 4-5 times. I see activity on the USB(it is FAT32)and I tried 2 different ways: one with the file retaining it's original name, the other with the file named bios.fd and both times no luck. What am I doing wrong??

Hey There,\
I'm new to this forum and have been a technician for mayn years but I am stumped as I have tried so many different approaches that I know and that I have researched but am failing at accomplishing mygoal. As I see here on the forum there aremany brilliant people and many people have had their issues resolved. Having said that I figured I'd give it a shot and would be so greatful if someone can direct me and/or instruct as to how I would succefully resolve my issue.

Basically it's like this. I have An Acer v5-171-6815 Model Number Q1VZC & SNID is 30604770234. The computer is running on BIOS version 2.09. Now there is 2.09, 1.04 and 1.09. I've been struggling to downgrade this machine for I am having some serious compatibility and finctionality issues with Windows 7 Proffesional. I'm using the official Windows 7 installation disk, etc. Now as obviously we all now the downgrading is not simple and I've tried several different methods. I.E. dos and windows with several different flashing utiliies, but I am just unsuccessful. It is for a client and is crucially important that I get this resolved. I need to get the 1.09 BIOS firmware in & unlocked with full advanced options. If I realize that I need the newer one then upgrading is never usually an issue as to going from 1.09 to 2.04 I'm assuming but it's the downgrading from the 2.xx to the 1.xx. Is ther anyone that would be able to direct me and instruct me as to how I would go about accomplishing this? Please let me know ASAP for this is really important to me and you'd be helping me imensly. Thank you so very much in advanced an I hope to ehar from you soon.

I would be happy to donate a a couple of bucks if I can get this resolved. I'm not sure I'm able to help with that much but I know that every little counts and I'd be willing to send a bit if this gets fixed. So to sum this up I'm looking to downgrade to 1.09 with advanced options available so I can totally disable the UEFI options and have it run like a normal windows 7 machine. Now if the 2.04 version can do that without any problems that that'll be good enough but I'll have to see it work perfectly first befor I donate. I am good on my word and I have no problem sending some money again it won't be alot but it'll be something soooooo.... Let me know. Hope to hear from you soon.
