I have a Sony Vaio VPCCB35FG, and have replaced the motherboard.
Being a new motherboard, the DMI information is blank, well, the serial number, model, etc.. all say "Reserved", and because of this, none of the drivers will install easily and I cannot return the machine back to factory, because the Sony utility thinks I'm not running it on a Sony machine.
I have tried SMBCFG, and all it does is fail to write the DMI information. Is there anything I can do that doesn't involve spending more money on this thing?
I have been searching for a while now for a solution to this problem, so if the answer is on this forum somewhere I must've skipped over it.
Thanks
