I have a Toshiba c655d-s5300. I need to recover my BIOS because the unlocked one I got from here won't let me boot windows. I can boot linux but I cant seem to find a way to flash it from Linux. When i try and use the Toshiba provided disc it says "FADT not found". I tried Fn + esc and Windows + B to do the recovery but I don't know what i'm doing. Can someone help me?

You tried the Recovery procedure but for this Laptop we cannot know the Recovery Bios name
so It would be all experimentable and It needs time to get success and make a milion tries !
The best thing is to buy the Tools (SPI Programmer and the Clip) so We can rewrite back all
Firmware !

I can't boot windows. Thanks for the suggestion though. I haven't found any information on Toshiba BIOS recovery I don't know why but I can't find anything.

i just figured out its fn + f . now we just need a name!

I found the motherboard name MC10AB. Tried that. Didn't work. Tried the file name of The thing you download from Toshiba. Didn't work. Tried the name they call their fd didn't work. Tried taking the version number off, didn't work. I don't know what the name is but I really need to use this computer if you have any other suggestion PLEASE say them.

I am in the exactly the same situation with a Lenovo G570 laptop. The only problem is that I don't know the recovery file name. I tried with PIWG1.bin name resulted from Andy P’s SLIC tool from My Digital Life, but it didn't work. I'm sorry for you!

my Toshiba Satellite s855-5254,is also soft bricked,and i need a name also...any help?
