if you are able to, I would like to try and help you determine if your system is able to run any quad cores or indeed what the possible cores you may be able to run.
It is that model; though a variant with an i5-460m and an ATI radeon mobility 5450 instead of an i3 with intel intergrated graphics.
The processor in question is the i7-740qm. they're both first gen, and they use the same slot; also the chipset -should- support quad cores, but as I'm well aware the manufactures can whitelist processors locking out unincluded ones (which seems to be the case here. already tried to install it, had to reinstall the i5) so was mostly curious if there was a way around it.
