Attempt 1:

USB 8 GB Formated as FAT32, Name: HP_TOOLS (created with HP UEFI TOOL from BDMasters link)
with 0166C.BIN and 0166C.SIG under the Hewlett-Packard/BIOS/Current Path.

PC Started in this way

1. Everything is plugged off (AC Cord, USB etc.)
2. Insert USB drive
3. Connect AC Cord then waited 3-5 Sec.
4. Hold <windows> and <B> key
5. Press start button
6. Released all 3 Buttons 1-3 sec. after fan spinned up
7. wait....

I waited now for 5 minutes and the screen is still off, the usb light has indicated multiple times. But after maybe 20 sec. from start, the caps lock light starts to flash 3 x ... stop ... 3 x ... stop ... 3x
Since the caps lock blinks, the usb indicator stops flashing.

I will try it now out another way and will give a full report again

Attempt 2

USB 1 GB Formatted as FAT32

Everything same as in Attempt 1
Start procedure same as in Attempt 1

Same effect as in Attempt 1, caps lock blinking after 10-20 sec and from the caps lock blinking the usb indicator does not flash.

I will try it another way

Attempt 3

1 GB USB Formatted as FAT (not FAT32), with all the same things as in Attempt 1 and 2.

Same start procedure as in attempt 1 and 2

Still no effect, 3x blinking starts again after 10-20 sec.

Will try another way, never lose hope Big Grin

Attempt 4

1 GB USB Formatted as FAT, Name: HP_TOOLS (created with BDMasters link to HP UEFI Tool)
The same files under Hewlett-Packard/BIOS/Current as in attempt 1,2 and 3
BUT now with a copy of the 0166C.BIN in the ROOT DIRECTORY of the USB (0166C.BIN renamed as SMC.BIN)

Same Start Procedure as in all attempts.

Blinking starts again and screen stays black.

attempt 5 incoming

Attempt 5

1 GB FAT USB Stick, Name HP_TOOLS (created with BDMasters link to HP UEFI TOOL)

But now with other BIOS files.

I Downloaded the first BIOS released for my HP Pavilion g6 1010eg (Ver. F06 Rev. A) Link: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp52001-52500/sp52469.exe
I extracted the sp52469.exe file and got two .bin Files (0166CF06.bin and 01666F06.bin), i opened the platform.ini file stored in the sp52469.exe package with editor and searched for my System Board ID (which was 1669) and found that i should use the 01666F06.bin file (i will upload a screenshot later).
Then I used phoenixtool to make these two .bin and .sig files out of the 01666F06.bin file, i got a 01666F06.BIN.DEC and a RSA.SIG file.
I renamed these two files to 01666.BIN and 01666.SIG (as i wanted to rename 01666F06.BIN.DEC windows gave me a warning that the file could become unusable when i change .BIN.DEC to .BIN but i clicked ok and now i got these two files (01666.BIN and 01666.SIG), i copied them to the same folder as in all attempts (Hewlett-Packard/BIOS/Current). NOW WITHOUT SMC.BIN FILE IN THE ROOT DIRECTORY.

Start procedure as in all attempts.
But now i holded win + b until the usb light starts to flash.

USB stopped flashing after some time, BUT NO CAPS LOCK FLASHING ANYMORE, the screen is just black.
Now, after waiting 7 mins., with black screen, but no caps lock flash i turned the pc off and will try it again later.

I think that CMOS Emulated in ROM so You will not erase completely ROM during flashing
process (DMI Data has to be saved) so the only way to make this job is using the Tools !

Thank you, but First i will try it one time again before spending money, the programmer and the Clip are Not that expensive 10-15€ on ebay and still better than buying a New mobo or PC Big Grin
And I have a question, Do i need another Clip, because i have maybe another bios chip? I will open the PC later and attach a picture of my bios chip Smile
