[REQUEST] Lenovo Y50-70 (9ECNxxWW) Whitelist Removal
We will flash Bios Mod v.3.00 over v.1.13 or 1.14 to Unlock Eeprom Chip so
You will get the EC Code v1.14 and Bios Code v.3.03 but doesn't matter !
So Downgrade before use Bios Mod v.3.03 . . .

How To Downgrade :

snebob

Run this to downgrade:

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...vy2113.exe

Remember to set the option in bios that enables you to flash an older bios, before you run it.

nop

I found another solution - Just in case it was ever needed.

Download the 1.14 version

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...cn31ww.exe

Then use 7-zip to extract that .exe file, You will find a platform.ini file into that folder.

Then Look for "BIOSVFEnable=2" and replace it with "BIOSVFEnable=0", run as Administrator InsydeFlash.exe tool and go !

Verified working !

Here You go :

Donate to me for my work and time . . . look into my Signature Wink

Unpack the Bios Mod and copy the "modified" folder into C: HD root place !
Then open Command Promt with Admin Rights (CLI window C:\), put your laptop
into Sleep Mode (just close the Lid) and then Wacke-Up It (reopen the Lid),
after this execute these comands from CLI window :

cd \

cd modified

fptw -f bios.bin -bios

(or fptw64 for Windows x64)

Let me know
Regards

Hey there, It's me, from page 2! Big Grin I've had to upgrade my bios after upgrading to windows 10 and I'm now running Bios 3.03, up from a modded 1.13 (by BDmaster, post #18) - I had to plug in the orgininal wifi card back in.

Here are my 3.03 results.rar
https://www.sendspace.com/file/bwy9bo

If I understand correctly, it is moddable? I'm downgrading to 1.13 in a minute. Another donation incoming if you can pull this off!

PS: the Atheros wifi card sucks DONKEY BALLS compared to Intel's 7260...
Thx for your great work (and not disappearing).

Hello and thank you for the reply.  I tried first method and it didn't work so I did the downgrade and then tried again and it would appear it has worked.   The BIOS menu seems to have more options than before.  I haven't received my new WLAN card yet but when I do I will report back.

If you would like me to test anything or provide any other information that could help, please let me know.

Thanks,
