(request) HP ProBook 6440b whitelist
#11
ok so I got the laptop back to life.
so I made a jig to not have to solder the memory in and out every time. I re-tested every bios you have uploaded and they all give 2x blink code which is "BIOS corruption failure"
any other options?

I attached txt and html reports from AIDA64. it was from mini win7 (hiren) - hope this fits, as I don't want to set up windows on this machine now.

You used F.20 modded too getting Brick ?
Please Let me get your DMI Data so Report of v.F.50 with Full data as F.20
is leaked of them !
Could You make some screenshots of your work to help Others users to make same ?
May be You can make a Tutorial or a Guide about this ?
I have understand if issue is about RSA Internal or the Whitelist mod so I will
prepare a new mod v.F.20 where I will change only some text into Setup Menu !
Let me know
Regards

yes, modded F.20 also bricking the laptop.
I get 2x flash for BIOS corruption, and if I start it again -- only the caps lock light is blinking one time a second -- don't know what's that about.

Ok Try version F.02 only txt modified then We will go up , get the original Rom file and go into
your F.20 Firmware get the adress 0x0180000h or search for $LOGO and then replace with
new chunk the F.20 with F.02 Hex Data then save and write into Eeprom !

I thought I replied, before I left home. Big Grin Im at work now.
Sorry.

I have no trouble using HEX editor, so I patched the F.50 working bios with F.02 bios file you sent (unmodded), and flashed it. Laptop started up, and showed that bios recovery was done, restarted and then worked just fine. I went to bios screen and confirmed that bios was on F.02 - so that's good.
then I flashed F.02 modded version - and same problem - 2 lights flashing - bios currupted.

I jsut modifed a text char into setup module to see the effect !
It's a pain in the as.... so We have to try to find where is the Checkpoint !
I know where was discovered by Donovan6k into standard Bios HP but
these ones looks differents and complicated !
I will try to make a test mod yet !
