I own an Acer Extensa 5620Z, Bios manufacturer - phoenix.
Can the BIOS be moded so that it will detect an ExpressCard54 SSD drive as a bootable device? Acer techsupport told me ExpressCard54 is connected to the PCIe bus.
The latest available bios version is 1.35, it can be downloaded from the following link:
Acer Extensa 5620Z BIOS v1.35
I also made some screenshots of the information in CPU-Z utility, I dont know if it will be of any help, still :
