Request: Anyone managed to update asus Rampage black edition Marvel Rom?

Hi,


I have been trying to update Asus Bios 0602 for the rampage III black edition x58 with various versions of the Marvell rom without success, this board has a 9182 (91A2) chipset and ask if anyone can do this or has info on how to do it?

I believe the ASUS Ami bios has 3 references to IDE/AHCI/RAID roms and contains the E6 bootloader and E7 firmware.

Some time ago I tried to find the three parts of Marvel ROM for chipset 9182 but I was able to find only the version for 9128.
Now I lost any hope to find them.

Asus latest BIOS (0602) contains the 1.0.0.0022 Marvel OROM.
It is split in 3 PCI Option ROM:

- module Id 20 VendorId 1B4B DeviceId 91A2
- module Id 20 VendorId 1B4B DeviceId 918A
- module Id 20 VendorId 1B4B DeviceId 9182

In order to update to version 1.0.0.0025 or later, we need all the three .bin codes to install in the BIOS ROM.

I noted a couple of strange things:

- rom code extracted from original BIOS of 818a and 8182 are identical, except DeviceId at start of code and checksum (last byte)
- rom code extracted from original BIOS of 81a2 is 65536 bytes and I suspect that a larger code size is not fitting properly, as occurred when Intel RAID new OROM was larger than 65536 bytes.

Yes, the 3 roms are for IDE, ACHI and Raid, I tried using extracted roms and roms from the links above also from other x58 motherboards but just disables marvel (disappears from post boot), the sizes seem too large as the M-board has a lot of onboard devices to deal with.

If someone an do this it would be great, also need the slic 2.1 to be added.

I have the latest 0602 bios with slic mod done.

The key that renews this rom be not you say of these are three mold pieces, but e 6, e 7 these 2 add to carry a mold piece, e 6, e 7 must promise with original rom homology, otherwise will brush black lord plank, can not start and guide, can adopt heat to put to pull out to replace bios to gather whole piece way instauration. This is the key, is as irrelevant as the size of the 91 A2 mold piece, another 918 as, 9182 these two mold pieces are same. I change good rom to give out you to try, I have already as usual once brushed.
