Asus Rampage II Extreme SLIC 2.1 BIOS request
#1
I've recently upgraded to the Rampage II Extreme, and I was wondering if it would be possible for someone to add the SLIC 2.1 mod into the latest BIOS version for me?

I'd be willing to give you guys a donation if this one works for me, I have £7 in my paypal account that I could send via paypal gift if one of you nice guys could do this.

Here is a link to the Asus BIOS page, it is version 1802.

http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx

Thanks in advance.

P.S. is it difficult to do this as I'd like to be able to try it out myself, but I don't have a clue where to begin!!!

Here you go , i used Asus 2.1 SLIC + Certificate Included:-

1. Copy and paste ******.XRM-MS certificate file into C-Drive.

2. After pasting this file into C-Drive, go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMPT. Right click on Command Prompt and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

3. When Command Prompt opens, type at the prompt: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\********.xrm-ms and hit the Enter Button. Wait for the Script Host to answer you with a message that the license was installed successfully....this could take a few minutes and so be patient.

4. After receiving the message that the license was installed successfully, type at the command prompt:

slmgr.vbs -ipk *****-*****-*****-*****-***** (Replace with any OEM SLP Product Key for your installed version of Windows 7 , they are not hard to find).Be Patient and wait for the message to say that the Product Key was sucessfully installed. After it says successfully installed, reboot the computer.

5. When you are back at your desktop, go to START - COMPUTER - right click on Computer and choose PROPERTIES and see if it is activated with an OEM product ID.

Hmmm, the BIOS has worked fine, but when I try typing the entries into a command prompt as admin it gives me this error:

http://img203.imageshack.us/img203/2135/ffss.png

I've done this activation process on 3 different PC's so far and it's worked perfectly so I don't understand what is going on here.

The BIOS is working like a charm though, thanks for that.
Anyone got any idea why this isn't working for me?

This is the same RTM version of Windows 7 that I've used on 3 different PC's and I haven't came across this problem on any of those...

Admin, do you think this problem could be caused by the Asus certificate you gave me, as the last 3 machines I've done had HP SLIC 2.1 BIOS'es and they all worked perfectly, I've just finished doing my partners one and it worked fine to...

I can't think of anything else that would cause this to happen.
