Hi all,
I tried to search this forum and I googled a lot by I didnt find any solution to my problem. In this forum I found some topics where some guys asked about bios modding on Sony Vaio laptops but I didnt find any modded bios that could fit in my notebook.
My problems:
I understood that first of all I need an original bios downloaded from sony support (first big problem, because my bios it's not on sony site). I have a backup of my bios that I dumped from my machine but I think it's not useful for a bios modding. I'm right?
I used AMIBCP to explore my bios menu structure and I could see many hidden menu items (and also a "thermal" one, very interesting for me).
Following my laptop specs:
model: Sony Vaio VPCEA3C5E
bios: APTIO AMI ver. 4
bios version: R1140Y8
Could you tell me please if it could be possible to mod my bios?
Thank you,
regards.

My problems:
- I would use the intel integrated graphic adapter because:
- I would try to gain battery file
- the fan of my laptop is really noisy (I opened my laptop, I cleaned it, I replaced thermal pad and thermal paste without good result). I dont need the power of the radeon adapter.

- I would turn on AHCI
