Does anybody could describe procedure to recover bios on that XPS L702X laptop.

When the laptop is tunrned on only 1 beep is there all the time.

I have been trying to prepare usb with Crisis BIOS Recovery and place BIOS.WPH which I found when i run L702X_A19.exe and in temporary folder was file BIOS1.WPH (5MB) which I rename to BIOS.WPH.

Did start laptop holding END key and after that give power and description was that computer should be in recovery stare... but nothing happened.

And advice how to extract bios file properlay from L702X_A19.exe and would revocery procedure work ?

regards

Not sure if still relevant, but you don't need the entire file. In a hex editor, you only need the part 1800B0h up to 4000AFh, which is the part that is flashed to the actual BIOS chip. And it should be named BIOS.cap, not .wph. Make sure the USB flash drive is formatted with FAT32 and I'm not sure, but you might need to use a USB2 port. Do keep in mind that an installed OS may not boot in recovery mode, as the SATA controller functions in ATA mode vs. the default AHCI. Good luck!

I know this thread is old but, I wondered if the BIOS that was modified for one of the users is still useful for my L702X?
