After I cleared my cmos, the BIOS would no longer boot past post.
Computer: H8-1240 Desktop
If I press F10, ESC, or F9 it just says please set time and date.
If I don't press these it shows processor info at the top in white text while saying press escape at the bottom.
However, the keyboard is unresponsive at this point.
It recognizes input before that screen, and can get it to beep when I use the ctrl + home.
Is there any way for me to flash a new bios?
If I run the HP bios updateupdater utility, it doesn't seem to give an option for saving to an external usb, only the bios of the current computer.
Don't know if anyone reads this subforum, but the bios updater utility sp60605.exe only has a rom file, 2 unextractable exes, 1 with the .rsrc and a rtf document.
Phoenix Mod Tool lists it as a EFI/Insyde BIOS and inside information box reads Pubkey x1
And marker 2.1 hpqoemslic-cpc x1
