I have an old notebook 2008-2009 of release.
OEM Vendor: VESTEL.
Model: BTO 15V125+ (Vestel DJR154SP - 15V125+HDMI)
M/B: ARES, The Sun, ver 14MB03
M/B vendor: Vestel Digital
BIOS: Insyde EFI
Version: The Sun 0.16 release 14-08-2008 (for Realtek LAN Card M/B version).
The BIOS of a notebook is updated to the last available version. It is the Insydeh20 system. This BIOS contains SLIC 2.0.
OEM ID "VESTEL"
OEM Table ID "VESTEL01"
I want to update SLIC to version 2.1 for installation of Windows 7 Ultimate. I have a feeling that the system manufacturer protected it from change. I tried to replace a code 2.0 on 2.1 by means of the program Phoenixtool 2.66. I often successfully used earlier this program. But now nothing is impossible. Phoenixtool doesn't see a SLIC 2.0 in BIOS and can replace according to nothing. You can check it.
I will tell directly that I don't use any cracks and activators, the system is installed on absolutely cleared hard drive. All diagnostic programs find after loading W7 tables and SLIC 2.0 VESTEL manufacturer. You can see it in reports of RW. Any attempts to add a code 2.1 the program Phoenixtool by all its methods aren't successful (Module, Dynamic).
In more deep analysis, I found the block (AFC04099-0D39-405D-BE46-846F08C51A31_478.ROM) in which there are obviously pieces of a SLIC 2.0 and tables in BIOS. I have found them looking a code in the HEX editor ("VEST" "EL", "VEST" "EL01", "MSFT" strings). Possibly, in loading process, the BIOS executable code integrates these data pieces in a normal SLIC and tables and places them in memory. Obviously, the only way to replace a code directly in this block. But my knowledge and experience are already not enough for this purpose.
If someone faced a similar problem and successfully solved it, I ask to help me with modification of this system.
Thanks! I ask to excuse me for my English.
