Hi there
I need a little help with this PC : i changed the provided wifi card based on sis163u that was not working with linux for a intel4965 that is suppose to work straight out of the box, but I suppose I end up with the whitelist problem since neither linux nor windows find this new card.
I tried to work it out myself but did not managed as I did not find the hex code of the original card in the bios.
Here are the info needed
- Bios download link from manufacturer site.
not the link to the manufacturer's site but it should work
http://dl.free.fr/bBSHy8in6
or on your site
FTS_BIOSDOSFlashDiscImageAMILOLa1703_88_1032412.ZIP (Size: 818.82 KB / Downloads: 22)
- PCI ID of the Wifi/WWAN card that originally came with the laptop.
USB\VID_0BF8&PID_100F&REV_0300
- If the bios is RSA signed an acknowledge to be aware of the risks and an acceptance of them. Also note that many times is needed remove HPTOOLS partition before flashing the mod.
as far as i know no RSA
Well thank you for your time
the link is valid 30 days from now
Have a nice week-end
